Zeiss ikon Jena Bauhaus mercury and etched glass pendant by Adolf Meyer

Description: Rare early model glass and nickel plated brass pendant light. Designed by well known Bauhaus architect Adolf Meyer in the 20’s. These type of lights were specifically made for use in large public buildings and shops.

The original mercury glass reflector directs most of the light bundle downwards, the etched glass on top allows you to have light shining to the ceiling swell. This light has been produced by Zeiss Ikon with the famous Jena quality glass.
