Description: Beautiful early Holophane light, constructed out of pressed glass with very heavy cast bronze fixture.

This particular light is designed by famous French art deco designer Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann and combines an incredible art deco  motive in the bronze gallery with the beautiful subtile diffuse light of the slightly violet Holophane glass. Old glass in time and in sunlight can get this colour due to the lead or maganese content.
