Antique French wooden folk art animal chandelier with etched glass shades
Description: Beautiful 19th century French hand carved wooden chandelier signed AR.
The chandelier has a bird on each arm looking inwards, each facing a different small animal (snail, turtle and racoon), the bottom of the centre piece is decorated with 3 snails.
The naive carving of the wood combines beautifully with the subtile glow of the etched glass shades.
Truely unique piece of French folk art.

Condition: In beautiful minimalistic restored vintage condition. The wooden spiral centre piece has damage, the wood shows damage from decay on one side.
